Latest Tomsk Ionogram from Real-Time Analysis

Note: The ionogram image above is updated automatically.

Dynasonde is an advanced technique of ionospheric radio sounding, the only existing one that fully implements the phase-based methods of radio measurements. The dynasonde setup at the Ionospheric Observatory of the Tomsk State University, the oldest continuously operating ionospheric facility in Russia (since 1936), is unique in many respects. Here is one of them: This is the first continuously operating combination of the newest Scion HF Radar ("VIPIR") and the data processing software Dynasonde 21 Software Suite including its 3-D plasma density inversion procedure NeXtYZ.
